【摘要】:1.1ThistestmethodcoverstheempiricalproceduresfordeterminingtheSayboltUniversalorSayboltFurolviscositiesofpetroleumproductsatspecifiedtemperaturesbetween21and99176;C(70and210176;F).Aspecialprocedureforwaxyproductsisindicated.Note18212;TestMethodsD445andD2170arepreferredforthedeterminationofkinematicviscosity.Theyrequiresmallersamplesandlesstime,andprovidegreateraccuracy.KinematicviscositiesmaybeconvertedtoSayboltviscositiesbyuseofthetablesinPracticeD2161.ItisrecommendedthatviscosityindexesbecalculatedfromkinematicratherthanSayboltviscosities.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
