【摘要】:Thistestmethodprovidesdataforqualitycontrolandacceptanceorrejectionunderspecifications.Beforeproceedingwiththistestmethod,referenceshouldbemadetotheASTMspecificationofthematerialbeingtested.Anytestspecimenpreparation,conditioning,dimensions,ortestingparameters,orcombinationthereof,coveredinthematerialsspecificationshalltakeprecedenceoverthosementionedinthistestmethod.Iftherearenomaterialspecifications,thenthedefaultconditionshereinapply.Table1ofClassificationSystemD4000liststheASTMmaterialsstandardsthatcurrentlyexist.1.1Thistestmethodcoverscertainmaterialspecificationsforwhichahistoryofdatahasbeenobtainedusingthestandardmicrotensilespecimen.ThespecimengeometryhasbeenchangedtobeequivalenttothatofISO12086-2:1995.Ingeneral,thistestmethodissupersededforgeneralusebyeitherTestMethodsD882orTestMethodD638.TheverysmallTypeVspecimeninTestMethodD638istherecommendedspecimenwhenlimitedamountsofmaterialareavailable.1.2Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofthecomparativetensilestrengthandelongationpropertiesofplasticsintheformofstandardmicrotensiletestspecimenswhentestedunderdefinedconditionsofpretreatment,temperature,humidity,andtestingmachinespeed.Itcanbeusedforspecimensofanythicknessupto3.2mm(1/8in.),includingthinfilms.1.3Thistestmethodcannotbeusedforthedeterminationofmodulusofelasticity.Forthedeterminationofmodulus,seeTestMethodD638orTestMethodsD882.1.4Testdataobtainedbythistestmethodarerelevantandappropriateforuseinengineeringdesign.1.5ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.6Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Note18212;ThereisnoknownISOequivalenttothisstandard.
