【摘要】:Thisspecificationcoversalloyandstainlesssteelboltingmaterialforpressurevessels,valves,flanges,andfittingsforhigh-temperatureservice.Thetermboltingmaterialasusedinthisspecificationcoversbars,bolts,screws,studs,studbolts,andwire.Barsandwireshallbehot-wrought.Thematerialmaybefurtherprocessedbycenterlessgrindingorbycolddrawing.Austeniticstainlesssteelmaybecarbidesolutiontreatedorcarbidesolutiontreatedandstrain-hardened.Whenstrainhardenedausteniticsteelisordered,thepurchasershouldtakespecialcaretoensurethatAppendixX1isthoroughlyunderstood.Severalgradesarecovered,includingferriticsteelsandausteniticstainlesssteelsdesignatedB5,B8,andsoforth.Selectionwilldependupondesign,serviceconditions,mechanicalproperties,andhigh-temperaturecharacteristics.Note1&8212;Thecommitteeformulatingthisspecificationhasincludedfifteensteeltypesthathavebeenratherextensivelyusedforthepresentpurpose.Othercompositionswillbeconsideredforinclusionbythecommitteefromtimetotimeastheneedbecomesapparent.Note2&8212;Forgradesofalloy-steelboltingmaterialsuitableforuseatthelowerrangeofhigh-temperatureapplications,referenceshouldbemadetoSpecificationA354.Note3&8212;Forgradesofalloy-steelboltingmaterialsuitableforuseinlow-temperatureapplications,referenceshouldbemadetoSpecificationA320/A320M.NutsforusewiththisboltingmaterialarecoveredinSection13.SupplementaryRequirementsS1throughS10areprovidedforusewhenadditionaltestsorinspectionaredesired.Theseshallapplyonlywhenspecifiedinthepurchaseorder.Thisspecificationisexpressedinbothinch-poundunitsandinSIunits.However,unlesstheorderspecifiestheapplicableMspecificationdesignation(SIunits),thematerialshallbefurnishedtoinch-poundunits.Thevaluesstatedineitherinch-poundunitsorSIunitsaretoberegardedseparatelyasstandard.Withinthetext,theSIunitsareshowninbrackets.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemarenotexactequivalents;therefore,eachsystemmustbeusedindependentlyoftheother.Combiningvaluesfromthetwosystemsmayresultinnonconformancewiththespecification.
